STUDY ABROAD DIARY: Seoul, South Korea
I will be a sophomore at Rice University this fall. This will be my second time studying in Seoul! I came last summer as a part of the NSLI-Y program. If you have any questions about that program or about study abroad in Korea, feel free to ask me!
I will use this blog to document my studies at Yonsei University and all my adventures this summer. Last summer was the time of my life; I hope this one tops it! The journey starts June 18th! ^^
Why is my Korean homework so hard?
Why why whyyyy.
I need to study more but I give up for tonight.
I am going to sleep.
Because I am fricking sleepy.
Thus, I will sleep.
If only it was always this easy during the school year.
It’s 12:33AM right now here in Seoul. I just got home around midnight and I am dead tired. I have done nothing today besides study and go to class. I woke up, took a shower, ate breakfast, and left for school. I went to a cafe to study for a few hours before my 1 o’clock class and didn’t grab lunch again today, though I did have snacks with me so it was okay. Today I switched from the Intermediate I level Korean class I was in (and found not too easy not too hard) to the Intermediate II level class. I felt so lost today. After class ended, I, without meaning to, ended up at the cafeteria under the library and coincidentally met some friends who were also going to study after dinner. We ate together and went to a cafe and studied until 11pm. Needless to say, I am pretty drained after getting only 4 hours of sleep last night. So right now I am wasting time on Tumblr and I think I deserve it. Although I really should be studying, but I think my brain is done for the day.
